12th meeting
The European Coordination Committee on Human Rights Documentation held its 12th meeting at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasbourg, on 27 January 1988.
The meeting discussed developments within HURIDOCS international, including the establishment of a Secretariat in Oslo and of four Task Forces; the “data-basing” meeting in Oslo, October 1987; developments in the International Refugee Documentation Network; the structure of the European Coordination Committee (including Secretariat) and training of trainers and of documentalists.
The list of participants is reproduced in Appendix I, the agenda, as adopted, appears in Appendix II. The Policy statement on exchange of information and division of labour, agreed at the Oslo, meeting, is included as Appendix III. Appendix IV contains a list of organisations using or intending to use the HURIDOCS Standard Formats and otherwise involved in the HURIDOCS network.
